Steps to setup a private school in Oman

Process Steps

Directed by the Private Education Department – Ministry of Education, the applicant should visit the Prevention Department/ Section at the Governorate/Region and enclose the required documents

  • Specimen of the signature.
  • Copy of the lease contract or the plot’s title deed.
  • Copy of the Commercial Registration.
  • Copy of the authenticated letter of Private Education Department with respect to the subject(s) to be taught.
  • Copy of the passport and ID card.
  • Subscription certificate.

Specialists of the Civil Defense together with the applicant should visit the location to survey the place and ensure that it is suitable for the set conditions. A report containing their remarks will be handed over to the applicant to complete.
